ThermoWorks BlueTherm One Thermocouple Instrument

See Wireless Temperature Readings for a list of Bluetooth® thermocouple devices that are Mobile Auditor-compatible for capturing temperatures.

ThermoWorks thermocouple devices can be set to display in Fahrenheit or Celsius, but the thermocouple device itself will always read temperatures in Celsius. Mobile Auditor will take the reading from the device, determine the ThermoWorks' device display setting, then convert the reading to Fahrenheit, if the device is set to display in Fahrenheit.

To take a temperature reading with the ThermoWorks BlueTherm One® Thermocouple Instrument

  1. Log in to Mobile Auditor.
  2. If necessary, connect and update.
  3. When you come to an audit question that requires a temperature reading, click the power button on the ThermoWorks BlueTherm One thermocouple device.

  4. Click the Bluetooth icon next to the question to sync Mobile Auditor to the ThermoWorks BlueTherm device. When the devices are paired, the color of the Bluetooth icon will change from black to blue.

If Mobile Auditor does not detect the thermocouple device, the following alert will display: Unable to pair. Please check the device is on and ready to pair.

  5. Place the thermocouple probe in the correct position to capture the temperature, then click READ.

    Click READ

After you click READ, the temperature probe will scan the temperature for the time specified in the Mobile Auditor Configuration settings. During that time, a visual indicator will display the current temperature in the temperature field every second as it is detected by the probe.  When the temperature stabilizes, the final temperature reading will display in the answer field. If the temperature does not stabilize within 10 seconds, Mobile Auditor will emit an audible "failed" reading sound alerting the user to re-take the temperature.

In the example below, Mobile Auditor displayed an increasing temperature before displaying the final temperature.

  6. The temperature will be recorded wirelessly and will be visible in the answer field for that question.

Mobile Auditor will emit an audible tone upon success or failure of the device when the temperature reading has been transmitted. If the device fails to transmit the temperature, you can still enter the data manually into Mobile Auditor, and the app will record that the input was entered manually versus wirelessly.
