Changing the Button Contrast

MOBILE AUDITOR PC

If you have difficulty differentiating between the button color of selected and non-selected answer choices (usually Yes, No, or N/A), you can adjust the contrast of these buttons by changing the Tool Tip color in your system Control Panel.

Mobile Auditor PC uses the Tool Tip color specified by your system to indicate the selected answer choice.* However, you should be aware that once you change this color, it affects your entire system, not just the Mobile Auditor PC application.

The directions may vary slightly, depending on the operation system installed on your computer. If the following instructions do not work for the operating system installed on your computer, locate and follow the Windows instructions for changing the Tooltip color.

  1. From the Start menu, select CONTROL PANEL.
  2. Open the DISPLAY control panel. (Vista: Select CONTROL PANEL HOME view from the panel on the left.)
  3. Click on the APPEARANCE tab to select it. (Vista Users: Under Appearance and Personalization, select CHANGE THE COLOR SCHEME.)
  4. Click the Advanced button. (Windows 2000: Skip this step.)

  5. From the Item drop-down list, select TOOL TIP.
  6. From the Color drop-down list, select a color to use for the color of selected buttons.
  7. Click the OK button. The selected answer now appears in this color in Mobile Auditor PC.

Remember, changing this color not only changes the appearance of Mobile Auditor PC, but also affects the color of Tool Tips displayed by the operating system.

* This color is used in other areas of the application, as well. For example, the Tool Tip color is also used for displaying the name of the current category in the audit screen, and in the Open Existing screen, this color is used to indicate which results are from re-audits.
