Installation Instructions
MOBILE AUDITOR PPC
COPY THE NECESSARY FILES TO THE POCKET PC DEVICE
- Connect the Pocket PC with the desktop via Microsoft ActiveSync.
- Copy the Mobile Auditor folder to the Pocket PC.
NOTE: Avoid using periods or dashes in the PPC application folder name, as these characters may result in errors. You may, however, use the underscore character. For example, if you wish to include the build number in the folder name, then use the underscore character in place of the periods.
- Your project manager or RizePoint Help Desk will provide you with the configuration file required to complete the installation process. Once the file is received, place it in the Program Files > RizePoint > Mobile Auditor folder on the device.
INSTALL THE MOBILE AUDITOR APPLICATION
- On your Pocket PC, locate and double-tap MASetup.exe inside the Mobile Auditor folder.
- A message may be displayed informing you that the program in not registered. Tap YES to continue.
- Tap OK.
- Close File Explorer.
START THE APPLICATION
- Tap START.
- Select PROGRAMS.
- Select MOBILE AUDITOR.
- Again, a message may appear informing you that the program is not registered. Click YES to continue.
- A "No forms are available" message appears. Tap OK.
- A "No locations exist. Please connect to update Locations" message is displayed.
- Tap OK.
DOWNLOAD THE AUDIT FORMS AND LOCATIONS
- Select CONNECT TO SERVER. The Log On window opens.
- Enter your user name and password.
- Tap LOGIN.
- Tap UPDATE. The server is queried to determine which files need to be updated.
- Tap DOWNLOAD NOW to download the locations and forms. This procedure may take several minutes.
- When finished, the Download Complete dialog opens. Tap the X in the upper right corner to close the dialog.
- Tap EXIT.
The dialog closes and the application restarts momentarily. Please be patient...it takes a few moments to restart the application.
Mobile Auditor is now ready for normal use.
