BROWSER LANGUAGE IDENTIFICATION

Browser Language Identification allows you to override the default RizePoint language with the language specified in your browser settings, and automatically update RizePoint to match the specified language.

  1. Click the EDIT pencil beside the language that you want to replace with the Browser Language, if that language is available.
  2. Check the ALLOW BROWSER OVERRIDE checkbox.

CAUTION: Whenever the ALLOW BROWSER OVERRIDE option is enabled, you will only be able to view forms, reports, labels, or configurations in the selected default language if your browser has not been set to the alternate language. For example, if you have ALLOW BROWSER OVERRIDE enabled for the French language, but your browser language is set to English,  all forms, reports, labels, and other configurations will display in English. If, however, ALLOW BROWSER OVERRIDE has been enabled, and your browser is also set to the French language, you will have French translations of all forms, reports, labels, and configurations.
  3. Click SAVE & RETURN. A check appears in the ALLOW BROWSER OVERRIDE column in the Language list.
You can enable this option for more than one language.

When a user assigned to a language that allows a browser override logs in, a check is made to determine if the language specified in the browser exists in RizePoint. If the language specified in the browser's Language Preference dialog matches the LANGUAGE CULTURE NAME of a language that exists in Setup | Language Setup, RizePoint automatically switches the language of the user to match the language specified in the browser.

If the language specified in the browser setting does not exist in the application, then RizePoint uses the language assigned to the user.

*NOTE: If more than one language appears in the Language Preference dialog, the languages are compared in order of precedence, from top to bottom. In other words, if the language at the top of the list does not exist in RizePoint, then the second language is checked. If it exists, then it is the language used. If it does not exist, then the next language is checked, and so on. If none of the languages in the browser's Language Preference list exist in RizePoint, then the language assigned to the user is used.
